Petrie and Lewis Mephistos Fire Cracker in wooden Box: former BiIl King Collection

Winning Bid: $150.00

One of the more difficult P&L tricks to  find circa 1939.

Mephisto’s Firecracker. New Haven: Petrie & Lewis (P&L), ca. 1939. A large burning firecracker vanishes from a nickel-plated case, and in its place appears a vanished American flag. The cracker reappears hanging from the back of an audience volunteer, then explodes with a loud bang in his hands. Appears complete. with a copy of the original instructions.

Former Bill King collection as evidenced by his inventory sticky being the 121 P&L item in his vast collection.

Estimate $300-500
