Display a beautifully machined paddle which features a narrow slot running along the length of its shape. Simply borrow a quarter and pass it through the slot. Easy enough, right? Wrong!
As you hand the same quarter and paddle to the spectator, asking them to pass the quarter through the the paddle’s slot, they just can’t do it! The quarter just won’t go through the slot. How did it happen? The quarter is the same size and so is the paddle. The spectators can thoroughly examine the paddle and quarter, but there’s nothing to find! It must be magic!
