Mel Babcock Improved Card Vanishing Box with a note of personal provenance

When Mel first started producing these he made them so that you had to squeeze the side of the wooden box to retain the card box shell.  He then developed the improvement for the new card boxes which has hidden built in magnets to retain the shell.  This is a major advancement is included with this beautiful box.

This particular box has a special provenance included with it. It was Mel’s friend Steve Snyderman who suggested he take the Robert Jackson Vanishing Deck (which Mel did not like) and create the effect with the card box.  It was this idea that Mel used to develop his vanishing card box.  When Mel did the improvement, he sent Steve a Christmas present of the new Improved Vanishing Card box along with the included note.   You are getting the gift that was sent to Steve along with the hand written note from Mel.
